Privacy Policy

Measure My doesn’t collect your data. Nothing you measure ever leaves your Mac.

The short version
  • Measure My does not collect, store, sell or share personal information.
  • There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code.
  • Every instrument works without any permission. The optional Enhanced Precision uses one still image of the screen, kept only in memory and discarded when you close the instruments.
  • The only network use is Apple’s own App Store, when you buy or restore Measure My Pro.

Who we are

Measure My is a Mac app made by Mahtca Global (“we”). This policy explains what the Measure My app and this website do with information. If anything here is unclear, write to measuremy@mahtca.com.

Information Measure My collects

None. Measure My does not collect any data from you or your Mac, and we never receive anything you measure. The app’s App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

Measuring

The instruments are drawn over your screen and read their measurements from their own position and size. Measurements stay on your Mac. When you copy a measurement (⌘C), it goes to your clipboard like anything else you copy.

Enhanced Precision and Screen Recording

  • Enhanced Precision is optional and off until you turn it on. It adds edge snapping, automatic gap detection, region fitting and a loupe with real magnified pixels.
  • It needs macOS’s screen recording permission, listed in System Settings as Screen & System Audio Recording. Measure My asks for it only when you turn Enhanced Precision on.
  • Each time you show the instruments, Measure My takes one still image of the display under the pointer, excluding its own windows. The image is kept in memory only and discarded when the instruments close. It is never saved, logged or sent anywhere. A “Screen snapshot in use” indicator shows while it’s held.
  • macOS may ask you from time to time to confirm screen access. You can turn the permission off at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

Permissions Measure My never requests

Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Full Disk Access, camera, microphone, contacts, location and Apple Events. The global shortcut, the click-through overlay, all ten instruments, units, calibration and copying work without any permission.

Settings stored on your Mac

Your preferences — such as your style, units and display calibration — stay in the app’s own storage on your Mac. To remember which instruments you’ve already tried, Measure My keeps a small list of instrument names in your Mac’s keychain. It never syncs and contains nothing about you.

Purchases

Measure My Pro is an in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. We never receive your payment details or your Apple Account information. Apple’s handling of purchases is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Children

Measure My does not collect information from anyone, including children.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Like any website, the server that hosts it may briefly keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep them secure. The Mac App Store badge is loaded from Apple’s servers, which receive the standard information your browser sends when loading an image. If you dismiss the language suggestion, your browser remembers that choice locally.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
